"(...) Who said we couldn't create a Gothic/Symphonic Metal masterpiece like Angélique here in Spain? From the opening with the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra to the end, this album never ceases to amaze us. (...) If you like bands in the vein of Dark Tranquillity, HIM, To/Die/For, Epica o Sentenced, you'll surely flip out with ANGELDARK. Top highlights: "Wolf" and the heavier "Rain" (in the style of Paradise Lost). We repeat: international masterpiece!"

"(...) Santi Fano's deep and warm voice blends perfectly in the musical context, creating a sort of magic that, next to the driving rythms, the plenty of double bass and the electronic music arrangements, shows a musical maturity that musn't be underestimated (...) - Luca Dei Rossi, Truemetal.it

"(...) While Angélique is firmly planted in Goth territory, ANGELDARK has no issues with bringing in outside influences (...) For the most part, ANGELDARK are a slightly depressive Goth Metal band with deep male vocals (with some growls thrown in for good measure) and melancholy keys setting the mood. But unlike genre frontrunners, HIM, ANGELDARK stands strong as Metal band, staying clear of many the Pop trappings that many of their contemporaries fall into. (...) Angélique will hopefully put ANGELDARK on the Metal map, and usher them into bigger and better things (...)" - Eric V, The Metal Observer

"(...) To say that it is a very great quality album is little to say, it is just simply excellent. The compositions have real, good and complex musical arrangements. The group mixes symphonic, lyric, gothic and metal parts with a disconcerting easiness as the tracks followed one each other with an easiness and an undeniable coherence. All through this album are succeeding metal symphonic passages, gothic, electronic, extreme, the whole influenced by classic music.  Besides it is hard to take out one track rather than another one because all are excellent. The powerful and heavy metal passages are following much more classic or symphonic even electro ones like in "Saint Germain (The Man Who Killed Death) Part I". vocally speaking Santi Fano’s vocals are very varied, a powerful voice, strong, well at place which sometimes makes me think to Peter Steele, the Type O Negative’s vocalist. We have excellent male clear vocals, sometimes lyric, growls, female lyric vocals with Berenice, symphonic choirs, to be short sufficiently varied to well represent each of the characters of this “metal opera” because I do think that we could called this album like this. The compositions are well constructed, with well present keyboards and a guitar which know to be powerful when needed.  It is certain that to have a symphonic orchestra can only bring a plus to such an album." - Beatrice, Metal Heart Webzine

"(...) Angélique has left me speechless. (...) I can't ask for more in a debut album. It's absolutely flawless. I highly recommend it. I wish they make it to the top and this doesn't end being just another project. When I least expected it, I found Angeldark. They are maybe Spain's best kept secret. It's perhaps one of the best albums of the year in its genre, and at least we know that they win hands down the title of "Revelation of the Year" for Angélique (...)" - Pablo Barrios, Search & Destroy
